SHIPPING TIPS

Important Key Points:

  • PLEASE!!! Protect the tip and tail with a simple fold of cardboard (Most Critical) Photos
  • Keep the package as small as possible. " The Burrito" method assures this. Easy too! Photos
  • Go directly to a "Shipping Depot" not a "Secondary Shipper". Closest to you?
  • Request the "Tracking Number" and then send it via email to confirm the shipment has been made..
  • Use readily available FREE materials to avoid buying shipping materials. It's everywhere!
  • UPS "OVERSIZED" dimensions link (somewhat hard to find on their site) however it details the facts about big boxes and how to calculate them.

The basics. When shipping snowboards it is all about size. Not the weight. Most of the time shipping "Ground" is the most economical. Either UPS or Fed Ex is fine. Even packaged as described the majority of snowboards will reach what is called "Oversized #1" Which means the total outside dimensions have reached 84" , the shipper now will bill for 30lbs regardless of actual weight. This is OK and often unavoidable. It is however VERY IMPORTANT to avoid reaching "Oversized #2". Using too large a box is the common cause for this. The overall dimensions must not exceed 130" Example or it becomes oversized #2!!
