  • Burton Snowboards - Burton specific photo archive , historical time line and stories of back in the day. History of the man behind the most successfull snowboard brand of all time.
  • Winterstick -Third Generation- No direct connection to DM, yet rightly proud of their heritage.
  • USASA Racing - As soon as there were two snowboarders , the race was on!
  • Transworld Snowboarding - An excellent snowboard historical time line. Done by famous writer Lee Crane
  • Barfoot Snowboards. - Chuck Barfoot is one of snowboardings earliest snowboard designers. He served an almost cult following of early riders with his twin tipped boards. Chuck Barfoot still hand builds sweet longboard skateboards , buy a longboard from a legend of snowboarding!
  • K2 - Since 1987 The Northwest snowboard company that brought us the "Gyrator" and Team K2 including Shawn Farmer, Dan Donnelly, Nick Perata, Adam Merriman, Sanders Nye, Susie Riggins, and Kelly Jo Legaz.
  • Pogo - Martin Sammet and Yogi März create only a limited number of high-end boards each year. Hard core surfers that have kept the pioneering spirit going through the years. Excellent early photos of their boards from 1983. Significant parallel history in the development of snowboards in Germany.
  • Hot - Gallery of "Hot" European snowboards clear back to 1984.
  • Carver's Almanac - Scott Firestone has put together a wealth of information in a super clean format. Everything you wanted to know about Carving but were afraid to ask! Don't miss this one!

Personal Favorites:

  • Wintersticking- Focused on Demijtri Milvovich and his brilliant creations / not winterstick.com / small site done by a collector.
  • Shaun Palmer- Bud Fawcett and Trevor Graves handy work in support of the "Worlds Greatest Athlete" Check the "Evolution" link for the coolest "Time Line" flash feature around. Early photos of the Palm, then the "Mini-Shredder".
  • Snowboard Journal- Very high end glossy SB magazine whose focus is much broader than the typical SB mag. It should already be on your coffee table! Former Burton Pro rider Jason Ford and world class photog Jon Foster are behind this work. They dig deep for well written historical articles.
  • PureBoarding - Jorg and his crew of European Alpine snowboarders. The only known asymetric snowboard still being built. It is called "#one" , custom design by Jorg , built by Kessler. Recently had the pleasure to ride with Jorg at Timberline ski area. Gallery
  • Stellarmag- One stop source of adventure living lifesyle info!
  • BomberOnline -THE Alpine snowboarders hang out. If you understand "Pure Carving" you must check it out. The Fin creates a work of art that just happens to be one of only two world class plate bindings coming out of the USA.
  • Stoked - Free-Carving site with videos, photos , music. One of very few sites that provide free alpine videos for download.
  • Exotic Boards - RJ has started a snowboard specialty site for the best of the best in longboards and "Exotic" powder boards. Ride On! What a great idea!
